Department McGoogan Health Sciences Library 50001211 Business Unit McGoogan Health Sciences Library Reg-Temp Full-Time Regular Work Schedule Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM Remote/Telecommuting Hybrid (part-time working on site, part-time working off-site) Position Summary
The primary focus of this position is to assist with the organization and maintenance of print and digital special collections and archival collections. A secondary focus is to assist the Department Head with project management of the library’s oral history program. Additional duties include participating in research activities based on archival materials, and digitization of physical archive materials.

Proficient knowledge of basic archival principles
Proficiency in MS Office tools including Excel
High-level judgement and discretion; able to maintain confidential information
Able to work well independently as well as in a team environment
Organized with high attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills and ability to relate well to a wide range of users

Preferred Education:
Master's degree

Preferred Experience:
Experience with museum collections or library special collections

Yes

ArchivesSpace, Preservica, Omeka S

Preferred Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience with ArchivesSpace software or other archival management systems
Experience in the use, maintenance and support of digital asset management systems, like Preservica and Omeka S
Experience applying national standards, such as Describing Archives: A Content Standard (DACS)
