ACA's Mission

Mission: The Academy of Certified Archivists provides independent verification of archival knowledge, skills, and abilities through its examination and recertification processes, which benefit archivists, the profession, and its stakeholders.

Upcoming Events

January 26-30, 2026: The Prolydian portal where recertification credits are requested will be closed as administrative work takes place to crosswalk current credits to the new ACA recertification guidelines. ACA members will be receiving emails about this process and questions are welcome at office@certifiedarchivists.org.
