2026 ACA Election Information | The Academy of Certified Archivists

In advance of this year’s ACA election we invite you to meet the candidates running for office. Click here to visit the 2026 ACA Election Page.

Voting will open on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. We encourage all active Certified Archivists (CA's) to review the candidates below before casting their ballot.

Each candidate was asked to provide a short professional bio and respond to the following prompt:

Why is maintaining your CA important to you in 2026 and beyond?

Voting Information

Voting will take place Tuesday, May 5 through Friday, May 15, 2026. Personalized voting ballots will be emailed to active Certified Archivists the morning of Tuesday, May 5 via SurveyMonkey.

If you do not receive your ballot on May 5, please check your spam or junk folder first. If you still cannot locate it, contact ACA Headquarters at office@certifiedarchivists.org.

Reminder emails will be sent from SurveyMonkey throughout the voting period to those who have not yet cast their ballot.

A write-in option for each open position will also be provided.

Call for Proctors

Are you interested in assisting ACA exam candidates while earning recertification credits? We are seeking volunteers to proctor the online exam June 11-13, 2026. Sign up here. The 3-hour exam will be offered multiple times throughout the three days, and you can choose the time slots that fit your availability. Each proctoring session lasts for 5 hours and is entirely online. It’s a great chance to meet your fellow CAs and to help future CAs!

To ensure that everyone can earn points toward recertification, please do not sign up for more than two time slots. Proctor training will be provided several times in early June. If you have any questions, please reach out to examadmin@certifiedarchivists.org.
